Michael Heckmann

Michael is a Cincinnati native currently residing in the Atlanta area with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector. After graduating from the College of Mount St. Joseph (now Mount St. Joseph University) in 2011 with a B.S. in Psychology and Religious Studies, Michael learned the importance of inclusion and social role valorization working as a Collaboration Project Manager with Starfire. From there, he spent a year as Student Ministry Producer with Crossroads Church before moving to SC Ministry Foundation, where he worked as the Grants Administrator. Michael joined the staff at Mount St. Joseph University in 2019, working with the Career & Experiential Education Center team before moving to work as the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations. He joined Elevate MD Foundation, Inc. as the Director of Strategic Initiatives in January 2022.

In addition, Michael serves on the board of Networks Embracing Transformation, which focuses on creating partnerships and systems that bring about city transformation for the benefit of all; serves as an Ordained Senior Chaplain with the International Fellowship of Chaplains; and is working on his Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Servant Leadership. Michael currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia with his wife and children.
